Direct Placement Procedures for EN102/EN109

NEW information from the English Department regarding the writing sample and possible placement into EN102/109. Students that meet the following criteria should be sent to the Assessment Center to complete the writing sample.

• Accuplacer sentence skills score of 115 or higher and are exempt from reading.
• Critical Reading scores of 600 or higher on the SAT. (SAT writing scores are not necessary to qualify for completing a writing sample)
• ACT English scores of 27 or higher.
