Accommodation Letters

As a reminder, students should only be provided accommodations IF they provide the professor with an accommodation letter from DSS. This can be provided as a hard copy or digitally. Below is an example of an accommodation letter from MC DSS. Please note the highlighted sections.

• It is from the Office of Disability Support Services
• Provides the semester that the letter is valid for (students must request a new letter each semester, fall/winter/spring/summer. Summer accommodation letters will cover all summer session courses (May – August).
• The students name is listed twice – once in the ‘To’ field and again with their M number.
• Authorized accommodations are listed and are the only accommodations approved at that time

If there are ever any questions or concerns about accommodation letters or the implementation of accommodations, please reach out to the DSS or the counselor listed on the letter. We are more than happy to assist.

DSS Coverage - Summer 2015

TP/SS Counseling Colleagues,

Ed and I will be out of the office for the next two weeks (July 27 – August 7).  While we are away, Katie Kirk Haag from the Rockville DSS Office, and Mesha Griffin, our part-time DSS counselor, will provide DSS Counseling Services to MC College students.  Continuing Education students should be referred to Natalie Martinez.
