Fall 2019 Updates on HSCI, EMGT and HMLS

  1.  HSCI101 - Intro to Health Sciences.  Great course for those who are considering one of the health science fields.  Offered at TPSS and Rockville (10/24 start).  Fliers attached.
  2. Homeland Security -- we're awaiting approval of the Certificate by MHEC.  In the meantime, HMLS courses are being offered and can fit into the General Studies degree.  I've attached information.  Courses are a good fit for those studying Criminal Justice.
  3. Emergency Preparedness Management -  EMGT101 offered online and on-campus (at Rockville) and majors courses all offered online.  EMGT206 - Public Health Preparedness is offered online this fall and is a good fit for those in the health sciences.
  4. Fire and Emergency Services - offering the courses online this semester.

If you ever have any questions, please feel free to contact me.  Email is best -- we're still not back in our offices.

NEW Emergency Preparedness Management CT and AAS

In case you missed the April Curriculum Committee Newsletter, like I did, I wanted to pass on information about a new program. Starting this fall, MC Takoma Park/Silver Spring will offer courses towards an Emergency Preparedness(Homeland Security) Certificate and an AAS degree. The course assessment levels and prerequisites can ONLY be seen in the online catalog at this point.
