Updated Regs - Dean's List and Graduation

Good morning Counseling Discipline,

I hope you all are well!  As you work with students and prepare for STSU courses, Norma and I wanted to remind you all of changes to the both the Dean’s List (AR 6.8) and Graduation with Honors (AR 8.5) that started with the 2020-21 academic year.  The full Regulations are updated in P&P, but I’ve pasted them below:

·         Honors - Dean's List Eligibility:  To be eligible for the Dean's List a student must have a semester grade point average of 3.50 or higher and earn six or more credit hours, excluding developmental, academic courses for non-native speakers of English, and noncredit courses. The Dean’s List designation is indicated on the academic transcript.
·         Graduation with Honors:  A candidate for graduation whose final cumulative grade point average is 3.50 or higher will graduate "with honors." The honors designation is indicated on the academic transcript.

In addition, these changes have been reflected in the online catalog.  The graphic below is courtesy of Veronica Banh.

Be well!
