MTAP Course Interest Survey - Clarification

A  few students have reached out to me about miscommunications regarding MTAP Course Survey Interest Surveys. I wanted to send you updates and reminders about the program:

• The deadline to submit the survey for the Fall semester is August 1. Access to classes is on a space available basis; so, even though a student may submit the form by that day, they are not guaranteed a seat in the class. 
• Students will not be able to use MC financial aid to pay for the class. They are taking the course as a visiting student at UMD, and financial aid can’t be used for that status. Likewise, the class taken at UMD can’t be used towards academic load at MC, so those credits will not count towards full-time or part-time status. 
• These surveys must be signed by an MC Counselor; they can’t be signed by Tyler McClenithan. Tyler is an UMD employee, not an MC one, and as such isn’t authorized as an MC designee.
• Students may only take one course per semester at the reduced rate, and take no more than 9 credits through the program.
• The residency form, which is part of the Course Interest Survey, must be completed.
