Official High School Transcripts

Good afternoon, everyone,

I'm sending this email as a reminder that students are required to submit official high school transcripts to document their high school graduation and for alternative placement purposes. During the pandemic, the College provided some flexibility to support students through a challenging time. However, to minimize fraudulent applications, we must ensure rigorous standards regarding the authenticity of submitted documents.

Raptor Central only accepts official HS transcripts submitted one of the following ways:

 o   In Person:

§ Submit to Raptor Central.

§ Present an official copy in a sealed envelope. Transcripts not in envelopes sealed by the high school are not considered official and are not acceptable.

o   Mailed through USPS

§ High school transcripts may also be submitted by mail, if mailed directly from a high school, school district, State Department of Education, or an Educational Evaluation Service.

§ Official Transcripts should be mailed to:

Montgomery College

Raptor Central

51 Mannakee Street

Rockville, MD 20850

 o   Electronic:

§ Naviance - High school transcripts may be submitted electronically by high schools that use Naviance.

§ Parchment - High school transcripts may be submitted electronically by high schools that use Parchment: parchment.com.

§ Emailed - High school transcripts may also be submitted if emailed directly from a high school, school district, State Department of Education, or an Educational Evaluation Service. Transcripts emailed from students are not considered official and are not acceptable.

Notes:

·       Homeschool transcripts should be signed and dated by the principal and submitted in a sealed envelope.

 ·       For students with foreign high school transcripts or diplomas: submit an official high school transcript /secondary school completion credential in a sealed envelope OR official evaluation of foreign transcript. All documents must be in English. If translated, submit an official copy of the native language version together with a certified English translation.

We recognize that there may need to be rare exceptions on a case-by-case basis. If you encounter any issues or questions, please let me know.

Warm regards,

Stacey
