Please note the steps of the SAP
process below:
1.
Students were notified via e-mail that their
financial aid had been terminated because they failed to meet the minimum
standards of Satisfactory Progress (SAP). (No
action required from counselors)
2.
Students have 4 appeal options and must select the one that refers to their reason for appealing.
They must then follow the listed instructions for their selected
option(s). Their paperwork is due to Financial Aid by February 8, 2013 (No action required from
counselors)
3.
All approved students will receive an e-mail
from Financial Aid with the SAP paperwork attached indicating which appeal they
need to complete (No action required from
counselors)
4.
Students are required to print out the letter
and all necessary forms BEFORE their visit to the counseling center (No action required from counselors)
5.
Counselors will assist students in developing
an academic plan that will help them regain Financial Aid Satisfactory
Academic Progress. (This service will be
provided from March 1 – March 31 ONLY)
6.
Students are required to submit their signed
academic plan back to Financial Aid by April 5, 2013. Please
DO NOT submit the plan to Financial Aid on the student’s behalf. It is
the student’s responsibility to submit the plan by the required date.
