Per Ernest Cartledge, assistant director of enrollment services and college registrar, Banner has been recoded to meet the criteria below so permission overrides DO NOT have to be given.
From Spring 2014
Now that registration for the spring semester is underway, I am pleased to confirm that the MA/EL 104 (MATH/AELW 940 - fall 2014)pilot is continuing into the spring 2014 semester. Per this pilot, students who are registered for EL 104 (AELW 940 - fall 2014) in the spring may also register for any math course for which they qualify via the Accuplacer. This pilot has been “Bannerized,” so no override is necessary. Please inform your Counseling colleagues.
Hopefully, this pilot, based on almost a decade of student success data, will become codified in some form through curriculum action in the spring and will become SOP in the fall.
